Breath of the wild, or botw, is set 100 years after hyrule was destroyed by calamity ganon. the game starts when Zelda wakes link from his 100 year slumber, as 100 years ago, he was injured and on the brink of death, and taken by the sheika to the shrine of resurrection on the great plateau. while link was healed, he lost most of his memories of the past. The player gets a semi short tutorial set on the great plateau to help the player get comfortable with the game and the runes that each of the 4 shrines on the great plateau. after the player beats all 4 shrines, they must go to the temple of time, to get the para glider from the old man, who turns out to be someone else entirely, but I’ll let you find out by yourself. after this you must go to kakarino village and speak to Impa, who you might recognize from earlier games, although now, she’s pretty shriveled up, as she is 100 years old. after that, you get a quest to defeat all four divine beasts, , Vah Ruta, Vah Medoh, Vah Rudania and Vah Naboris. each of these is centered in one of the main regions.
all in all, I give this game a 5 star rating, 2 for story line, 2 for game play and 1 for graphics.
